Yes once again I find that you really do get what you pay for, after several years of the cheaper option and the resulting failures I finally decided to bite the bullet and get a quality built local product that should stand the test of time, but had easy replacement parts if needed. Well it arrived and I was staggered by both the quality of build and also the container bag which allows it to be packed away, neatly safely in a ridiculously well made bag with carry handles and even wheels on the bottom. To say i am pleased is the understatement of the year.

I am writing this review shortly after receiving the product but first impressions are very good. I opted for this product after looking around for a heater that would keep us warm under a pergola without generating the bright glare of a halogen heater and not cost a fortune to run. This heater ticked the boxes as my research suggested that 'far infrared' was the best type of heat for warming humans/animals and was cheaper than halogen/quartz alternatives. I received the heater within less than 24 hours of ordering and upon installation and testing certainly appears to meet my requirements. The heat distribution is excellent and covers the complete seating area, with the obvious heat intensity reduction the further you move away from the heater. Installation was quick and easy with the wall bracket but have a slight concern about the recess in the top of unit as this is sure to collect rain water which may compromise the waterproofing of the product, albeit that it has a IP rating of 55. I made an enquiry about the provided/optional cover that is recommended in the instruction manual but Gala Tent stated they did not sell this and I could not find this anywhere else on the internet. Not sure how/if this will affect the warranty as this is not a product you can easily move once it has been installed. The fins on the front grille did not have consistent angles upon unpacking but these can be twisted once it has been fitted, although I would not want to do this too much in fear they could break. The instruction manual is brief but adequate but has some spelling/grammatical errors and quotes the product name as Uranus which supports the fact this is an imported product. Whilst I have included a couple of concerns/issues my overall impression is very good and confident the product will meet my long term requirements. This is my first purchase from Gala Tent and based on my experience I will certainly be using them again in the future as there service and customer care is excellent.
